The book has a wealth of exercises of various types. The text is mostly self-contained, requiring only undergraduate analysis and linear algebra. Problems at the end of chapters will omit important details like what regularity one should assume for a function, if a manifold is compact, and other such things.
So no such diffeomorphism could exist. Get fast, free shipping with Amazon Prime. I agree with the reviewer who is not a “higher mathematician”. I have wasted large amounts of time trying to find some particular definition required for a simple problem because the definition was hidden in a paragraph of useless gibberish.
One of these items ships sooner gui, lemin the other. I’d like to read this book on Kindle Don’t have a Kindle?

Definitions, theorems and proofs are often gukllemin in paragraphs with a large amount of wishy-washy explanations, which makes the book useless if you are using it for reference.

The explanations are often difficult to follow and cluttered, requiring one to dedicate a large amount guillemim time to draw diagrams and try and follow the train of thought of the author.
See all 24 reviews. This book is great for someone like me, who has seen bits and pieces of results from differential topology but would like to see a unified presentation of it. Email Required, but never shown. There is an algebraic topology solution gyillemin relative homology, similar in flavor to the proof of the invariance of domain theorem.
I loved to study this book several years ago as an undegraduate. Well, as it happens, I am pollavk the reader and I haven’t been able to show it. By relying on a unifying idea—transversality—the authors are able to avoid the use of big machinery or ad hoc techniques to establish the main results.

I don’t mean this to be rude, guullemin I’d be happy to elaborate in the chatroom to avoid an extended conversation here if you wish.
There was a problem filtering reviews right now. The strength of the subject is that the spaces in question polack a structure that allow many problems to be locally reduced to linear algebra questions.
